Taking care of your mental health is just as important as taking care of your physical health here at SignOnSite. So, to celebrate World Health Day on April 7th, we gave our team members a well-deserved half-day off to recharge and prioritise their mental well-being. We encouraged everyone to make the most of the warm weather by taking a walk, going for a hike, or simply enjoying a cuppa outside.

We also partnered with TradeMutt's social enterprise, TIACS (This Is A Conversation Starter), an Australian organisation providing free counselling support to tradies, truckies, rural and blue-collar workers, and loved ones.
TIACS was founded when its co-founders, Dan and Ed, recognised that there were significant obstacles preventing the blue-collar community from accessing free mental health support. The idea for TIACS was born after the launch of their social impact workwear brand, TradeMutt, which aimed to start conversations around mental health.
They realised that their conversation-starting workwear could help break down the barriers preventing people from discussing their mental health. Since then, TIACS has provided free counselling support to thousands of workers and their loved ones, along with TradeMutt's eye-catching workwear that promotes mental health awareness. Each of our team members were generously gifted a TradeMutt cap by Dan and Ed, to spread awareness about the importance of mental health and encourage others to start a conversation about it.

By partnering with TIACS and TradeMutt, we are able to promote the importance of mental health further and create a supportive work culture that prioritises the well-being of our employees. In addition, we can foster a safe and happy workplace by encouraging open conversations about mental health and reducing its stigma.
At SignOnSite, we understand that mental health and well-being are essential to our employees' professional and personal success. That's why we offer all our employees an Employment Assistance Program called Uprise, which includes free therapy and various online tools for managing financial stress, mindfulness, and communication skills.
We also allow our employees to take minimum viable days, which are days when they don't feel like they're able to be at work but are hesitant to take a day off, causing them anxiety and compounding the issue. This means they can use the time to do something positive, which helps them recoup and return to work feeling refreshed.
We aim to enhance productivity, foster creativity and innovation, and create a positive work environment by prioritising our employees' mental health. We are committed to providing resources and support for the team to maintain their mental health and well-being. As part of our commitment to this goal, we continuously assess our policies and practices to ensure a supportive and healthy workplace for all employees.
If you or someone you know is struggling with mental health, we encourage you to reach out to TIACS for free counselling support.
